The authority of righteousness

We have to get the fact that we have authority on this earth, it was not just given to Jesus and we get to use it once and a while. No, He gave it to us to use all the time. It doesn't do any good for Jesus to have authority over the devil; the devil is not in heaven. No he got it, to give to his body. Thatís who needs it. We are the ones that need it to do God's work in the earth. We are his body and the fullness there of. If we don't do it, it doesn't get done. Doesn't it say the enemy is to be put under his feet? Where are his feet? Is it attached to his head? No! Then it would say the enemy would be made his pillow. It doesn't say that. Where are his feet? They are in his body. We are his body. Therefore, the enemy has to be put under the feet of his body. Thatís us. We are hooked to Jesus. We are knitted and joined together. We are joint heirs with him. What does a joint do? It connects 2 parts; a joint connects your forearm and your upper arm, doesnít it. When you have a joint, there is a connection.
Yes Jesus did it all, but we have to enforce it. Jesus was showing us how to use that authority. When he dealt with anything, he spoke to it, didn't he? When he came across people who were sick, he didn't pray to God and say, father here is another one, I know you don't want them sick, so please send down the power now. No, no he just took authority over it, right there and then. Then people say, oh yeah, but that's the Son of God. Well what are you? Actually he always called himself the son of man. Didn't he? He didn't tell every one that I am the son of God better listen to me. He was acting as a man, on our behalf, to bridge us to God. That is what his ministry was all about, showing us how to act in this world. How to do the Fatherís will. He was also showing us what God's will is for man. It is not God's will for anybody to be sick, broke, or oppressed, in anyway. He wants you to take authority over this stuff.
When someone wins the battle and makes a document with rules and laws, then they bring in another group, called the peace keepers, to maintain those rules.. Well, thatís what our job is. We are part of that team, we don't have to fight the battle, but we must maintain what is already won. Glory be to God! Don't let them take it back. Come on, you need to use authority now, not when you get to heaven, the devil won't be there. You need to understand that you have authority, so you can use that authority now
Here is another thing to look at. In order to have real authority, you need to receive your righteousness. This is a vital part of our walk as a Christian. You won't be righteous some day. No, you have been made the righteous of God, past tense. Religion wants to keep track of your good things and bad things and if your good is more then your bad then your are righteous. No, no God says, your righteousness is like filthy rags. . You couldn't get righteousness yourself, so Jesus gave you his. He knows that you need it right now. if you feel that you are just a sinner saved by grace you havenít got your righteousness yet. Even if you sin you are no longer a sinner. That is hard to take but it is true. Don't confuse righteousness with holiness. Holiness you have to work on. Ok, look at (1 Cor 15:34) Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame. Some of them haven't received their righteousness, would you say? Now look at this good.
This, is not saying what you think, it is not saying that if you realize that you are righteous, then you won't want sin any more. No, no what it is saying is that if you don't wake up to righteousness, then you are sinning. That is far different and more powerful. What is sinning? Actually it is when you do anything that is against God's Word. Therefore, God is saying you just can't turn your back on his righteousness. This is not something that you think about, or play with, once in a while. It is not something that you just say in church and then forget about it. No, no you have got to know that you are righteous and use it. See, we are just trying to be just good little church people, so that we can feel righteous. It doesn't matter how you feel. So forget how you feel and submit to your righteousness now.
The blood of Jesus has totally purged our sin, (Heb 10:2) For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. Sure this is talking about people in the Old Testament, but it is the same idea. Well, have you been purified? Are you not worshipers? Well, then you should have no more sin consciousness. Ok so why aren't we doing this? Maybe it's sin? No question about it, sin will take your confidence away. You want to hide and say, boy I don't have any authority now. Well if God didn't think we were going to miss the mark, then he wouldn't have gave us 1 John 1:9. The blood of Jesus has taken care of all our sins. Sure sin messes up your confidence, but we can't quit, you can't go hide, we have to get back up and go at it again. Use 1 John 1:9 and confess it. Then get back into the fight.
I know that what makes sense to our flesh, is to go around, for a period of time, feeling sorry for what we did. We can't just confess it, right away, that sounds too easy. So we have to go around, with our head down low, for days and convince ourselves that we are truly sorry, otherwise we just might do it again. I know, that is what religion has brained washed us to think. Well all I can tell you, is that is not, what God wants us to do. So confess it and get back your confidence and get back in there. He wants you in the fight. Come on itís time to stop playing church and quoting scriptures so you can feel good, and get into action. Get into the family business, school is over. Don't wait till you have taken enough classes in order to feel righteousness. Speak the word of God, act like a child of God. We have to get this; I know it is serous stuff. However, it's great stuff. You have to know your rights as a child of God. So you can tear the enemy up. Glory!
1 John 2:28 And now, little children abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. Get rid of your sin conscience. Don't even look at your track record, which is what the devil wants you to think about. That's in the past, you are a new creature now. Old things have past away. Every time you get cleansed, you are new again, whether you feel like it or not. It doesn't matter what you have done before, it is a new day. God puts those sins in the sea of forgetfulness. Glory! Even if you sin, you are still not a sinner, you have been made the righteousness of God. All that matters is what God says. If God says you are righteous, then you are righteous. Read Romans 5:12 right on through the to the end of the chapter. He is telling you what you are. Actually it says because of Adam you were made sin, you didn't have any say in the matter, so how are you ever going to fix it by being good. You can't.
Also let me mention something else here, about those verses. If you really look at it, Grace is even more then unmerited favor; it is God saying he wants to get involve in you. That is powerful, because God is not just saying grace is now available to you and you can get some if you want. No, He is saying more then that. He is saying I want to restore you the way you should be. It wasn't your fault that you got in that state and bless God he wants to fix it. God wants to fix up the real you, just perfect. Isn't that good? Isn't that powerful? In fact God thinks so much about the way you turned out, that he is willing to move in. Think about that for a while. I should have gotten a better amen then that.
No, I haven't forgot about the other part of this. Sure there is a certain amount of training here, (Heb 5:12-13) For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. {13} For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
Obviously they did not receive their righteousness either. The main thing here is that you don't need to dwell on being a baby Christian; it will take care of itself. Start using what you know. Also look at the fact that righteousness speaks, so you need to speak from your righteousness. True your words won't have full power right away, because you might blow the city down, but that doesn't mean that you should wait till you have full power. Don't just keep feeding on milk; it doesn't take much for you to start using what God has given you. So start to use your righteousness everyday. Don't just sing about it, or don't think it will be nice when I get my act together. No, no put it on and cast out the devil. That is how you are going to get skilled at it. Also use it, in your prayers, to have confidence. You have to know your rights that God gave you, in order to go boldly into the throne room of God. There is a difference between knowing your suppose to be able to go in and really knowing you can go in there. Do you know what I mean?
Did you know that this is the life force that is inside of you? When it says, guard your heart for out of it flows the issues of life. That is what it is. It is God righteousness in you. You don't want fear down there; you want faith down there. You want to speak from your righteousness. Glory! Now settle it once and for all, that you are the righteousness of God. Accept that free gift and put it to use. Well praise God somebody. Come on now, say I will not be defeated and I will not quit. Glory! I pray this helps you.

Further study Eph. 1:3-11. See that we have blessings and an inheritance. (Prov 8:21) That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, that I may fill their treasuries. Ok you say I know that, but where we are missing it, is that we have to get it (Josh 18:2-3) but there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance. {3} Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: "How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers has given you? It wasn't automatic. Did you see that? So you have to receive it now. Also let me say that, two of the biggest enemies to the church are lack and debt. We simply don't hate it enough, we just put up with it. When Jesus sent out people, he said, did you lack anything? As part of our blessing, God will defeat our enemies. Glory. Deut 28:7. Call them your enemies and go to God about them. Be covenant minded. Glory! Press in! I want all my stuff. Let's shout about it!
